Job Descriptions

State Coordinator Checklist
The Konopka Institute has developed a brief checklist that may be helpful to states evaluating their State Coordinator role. Each state is different, but this document is intended to provide big-picture guidelines on the "ideal" role of a State Coordinator.

Examples of State AH Coordinator Job Descriptions
The role of the State Adolescent Health Coordinator is diverse and varied. Some SAHCs focus on one or two topic areas such as teen pregnancy prevention or nutrition, while others are responsible for a wide range of adolescent health issues. Depending on the State and public health infrastructure, some SAHCs may be responsible for managing several staff, while others may be sole agents within a larger community health division. Because no two positions are alike, we've provided some sample job descriptions here that may be useful in adapting or creating new positions. Clicking on the State name will open up a word document with the job description in it.
