NNSAHC mailing list Information

The NNSAHC mailing list is hosted at UCLA by the School Mental Health Project. The list is managed using Mailman mailing list software. This allows the user to make changes to their profiles via the internet. Go to http://lists.ucla.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sahcn-l and scroll down to the bottom of the page to access/review/change your profile. Note: This is a closed list for the use of the State Adolescent Health Coordinators only. If you have any questions about joining the list, contact the mailing list manager at: smhp@ucla.edu

Sending messages:
To send a message to all the people currently subscribed to the list, just send mail to SAHCN-L@LISTS.UCLA.EDU. This is called sending mail to the list, because you send mail to a single address and the Mailman software makes copies for all the people who have subscribed.

This is especially important when you want to respond to a message from the list. If you intend for the response to be sent to the entire list, you usually just send it as a reply. However, if you want to respond to the sender privately, you need to make sure that the address you are sending it to is the respondent's email address and not the list address. A good rule to follow is to always assume that the message is going back to the entire list. If you want to send it to an individual, you'll have to make sure that their email address is in the message's To: field.

Leaving the List or making changes to your existing subscription.
You can email the list manager (smhp@ucla.edu) to remove or change your email address. Or, you can leave the list at any time by going to: http://lists.ucla.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sahcn-l and scrolling down the screen to the management section. There you can sign in to the system to make changes, etc.
